‘‘Hello, I’m Dave – I’m a toy, a game, a story. Come to think of it I’m all of these things and much more. I even have several nicknames. Some call me “Dad”, others call me a “Musician” – I play the tuba – and some call me “Sloppy” – oh well, that’s mostly my wife, but nobody’s perfect. Are they?

It’s really not up to me what I am. Whether I’m a tuba player in The Two Tuba Switch or a fun loving Dad in Wizarday – When Our Stuff Went Away! it’s Sarah Itzhaki who dreams me up. Well, that’s what I let her think. Actually I play her fingers on the keyboard – making sure we get a laugh and have a ball. Otherwise missy here may get too serious about social emotional well-being, educational messages, character development, etc. So I just help her find a way to reach each child, parent and educator by playing their own special tune without putting them to sleep… unless the next book I’ll star in will deal with sleeping problems ZZZZZ!‘‘

Sarah Itzhaki, Ph.D.
Ms. Itzhaki is the author of Toys ‘N Tayls books and games. She has a Ph.D. in medical research and is a clinical nutritionist and sleep counselor.

Steven Tobias, Psy.D.
Mr. Tobias is Director of the Center for Child & Family Development in Morristown, NJ. He helps the Toys ‘N Tayls team identify challenges that children are facing and ways they can creatively be addressed in our books and games.

Dave Hill
Mr. Hill is the creative talent behind the quirky illustrations featured in all Toys ‘N Tayls products. He is an accomplished artist who has illustrated comic books, video game characters, children’s books, and much more.
